Once again, I'm watching Olympic swimming.  Finally, Van Den Hoogenband is competing.  He's been conspicuously missing from many of his usual events.  He's in the 100m freestyle and is not the favorite.  It's Eamon Sullivan of Australia and he's....1st and breaks the world record.  The Australians, usually ( Read more... )

Check out this photo of Phelps swimming in his gold medal-winning heat for the men's 400m individual medley.  And how about that awesome gold medal win by the US team, over the mouthy French, in the men's 4x100 freestyle relay!  As much as I love the French, they totally asked for it!
